Ova filmska zabava za cijelu obitelj temelji se na priči Charlesa Dickensa o preobrazbi škrtog g. Scroogea (Michael Caine) koji ne voli Božić. U njoj glume najpoznatiji Mupetovci: žabac Kermit (Steve Whitmire) glavni je računovođa Bob Cratchit, a Miss Piggy Bobova živahna supruga Emily (Frank Oz). Tu je i Veliki Gonzo kao narator te brbljavi štakor Rizzo i drugi. Muppetova božićna priča posebna je ekranizacija svima najdraže Božićne priče.
Redatelj Brian Henson osvojio je nagradu na Fantafestivalu 1993. godine.
